Susan Sontag is a brilliant writer and although the transcriptions of her diaries are not very interesting, as soon as she starts analysing, I'm all over this. Wow to the wow. I think I tried once before to read Cixous and was stumped. I’m not surprised. This is an essay but it’s closer to poetry and it’s taken me close to 4 hours to get through because at some points the length of the sentences just lost me.
